As soon as we announced that our next show would be "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" the buzz factor jumped.  People were begging for auditon dates so they could mark their calendars and audiences were excited for the opportunity to see a live, stage version. Once director Mara Monaghan had her cast set, which she shared was difficult to do because of the great auditions by so many people, she was ready to hit the boards and get to work. Along with fight choreography, Missy Ryan, Mara and the cast have been hard at work preparing for opening night.  Keep checking back as they each take a moment in the coming weeks to share their perspectives of preparing for their roles in this classicTom Stoppard comedic tale of two clowns...

Hi! I'm Tawnya Drake and I play one of the Tragedians in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. Preparing for this show has been so incredibly fun along with being a great learning experience. Watching my fellow actors tranform themselves into these quirky, hilarious chatacters is truly inspiring. It makes me want to become a better actor. While my part is small, it's important and my fellow Tragedians have prepared some great slapstick that makes this farce even more outrageous. Don't miss it!

Hello! I'm Trae Clark and I play "Alfred" one of the Tragedians alongside Tawnya in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead! Preparing for this show has been going very well and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't want to spoil anything, but this is definitely a show you don't want to miss. Mara did an absolutely fantastic job with the casting and it's been great watching the incredible actors and actresses fall into their roles. I haven't been this excited for a performance since I was a kid, you seriously don't want to miss this!

Hello! Director Mara Monaghan checking in! With the help of some incredibly talented people, both on and off stage, this show is coming together wonderfully. I have my work cut out for me with an amazing cast who have so much enthusiasm for making this show the best we can. I hope to see you all there!

Tonight, I took a selfie with Ophelia, aka Tracy Turner. I met Tracy in February of 2012, the first year I joined M. T. Pockets. I never thought that three years later we'd still be doing shows together and be as close as family. Then I realized that's exactly what we are, family.
The theatre gives us an outlet to let our imaginations run wild. Together, ideas become actions and we create magic.
This is how I feel about every show we do, it's pure magic. "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" is no exception. It just may be one of our best yet.
Check out the theatre's Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to learn more about our family. We'll see you at the theatre! ♡

Josh Rocchi, darkening your door steps yet again, after springboarding from a surreal and dark piece to a comedy, is a drastic change to go through. Physical, mental, and emotional heights to be strived for, and reached are just some of the fun of this craft. I am proud to be part of such insanity, with such a wild cast. Be prepared to laugh, shrug, laugh some more.

My name is Sean and I get the opportunity to be Guildenstern for this production. This play and I have had a love affair for almost twenty years now. From the moment I first read the questions scene I was hooked and now almost two decades later I finally get to play the role. It has been a daunting experience settling into the plays language and quick pace of the dialogue, but what fun is doing something easy. We hope you enjoy the show as about as much we have enjoyed making it our own.

Tracy Lynch, checking in. I play Ophelia. My role is small, but I've been doing lots to prepare for it. Mostly, I've been doing research. I've read Hamlet and been part of the tech crew for a production of it but I still needed to refer back to it to truly understand my character's arch. I figured out where her scenes are placed within the timeline of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. I really wanted to know where she was emotionally each time she enters into their world. It's been an odd and fun experience. I have a fantastic scene partner in our Hamlet, Sean Marko. We're comfortable with each other which I think was kind of necessary for our roles to play off one another. There are a lot of puzzle pieces in this show that need to fit together and I think we may just have this jigsaw solved! It is a wonderful cast our director has brought together. I can't wait to see our show finish maturing and blossom into the productions we will share with you.

Guildenstern here again, well we had our first night of rehearsal without scripts in our hands. I'm not gonna compare it to the Hindenburg disaster but it was a close second. We know this play and out of frustration for getting the source material perfect will rise out of the ashes not quite like a phoenix but a close second. Come out next week and see how we crush it.

It has been so much fun getting this show together. This is one of the most exciting casts I've worked with. Between Josh, Justin, Sean B, and the cleverly written script the audience will be floored!

Last day of rehearsal and the jitters are changing from oh my God I can't remember my lines to oh my God I can't wait to do this show. We have accomplished a monumental undertaking in the month we had to get this show to where are today. We hope when the lights come up and we start spinning coins you will recognize the hard work. See you on the other side. Thanks, Guildenstern.
