ABOUT M.T. POCKETS THEATRE
Pageants are fundraisers for M.T. Pockets Theatre, Inc. M. T. Pockets Theatre is a 501(c)3 NPO. Its mission is to enhance the theatre community in Morgantown, West Virginia and surrounding regions by presenting live performances of classic, contemporary and new works that promote women and minorities in the arts; provide a venue for alternative theatre that addresses contemporary and sensitive issues through performance; provide a venue for new works and support the work of emerging playwrights and artists without bias; and to theatre accessible to those whom otherwise might not have the opportunity to experience live theatre due to physical, financial or geographical limitations. All funds raised by this Pageant will go towards this mission and the promotion of the Theatre so we can continue our work.

Required Event
Main Event $50
The main titles for this pageant will be determined by one event, which is Valentine Wear! Basically anything that screams “Valentine’s Day” works for attire. The contestant will model on the stage to provided music. Be creative and show your personality! Attire must be age-appropriate. Every contestant will be crowned as either princess/prince, a division winner, or a supreme. Every contestant that enters will receive a crown, sash, and gift.
The divisions are as follows:

*We reserve the right to combine, add, or eliminate groups/titles based on entry numbers.
*There will be a $5 family discount for each additional family member that competes (Ex 1: Mom and daughter enter = $50 for Mom + $45 for daughter. Ex 2: 3 siblings enter = $50 for first sibling + $45 for second sibling + $45 for third sibling)
*There will be a $5 family discount for each additional family member that competes (Ex 1: Mom and daughter enter = $50 for Mom + $45 for daughter. Ex 2: 3 siblings enter = $50 for first sibling + $45 for second sibling + $45 for third sibling)
OPTIONAL EVENTS
1. Beautiful Heart $10
For this optional event, contestants wear their. beauty attire (gown, cupcake dress, Sunday best, etc.). This is a great opportunity to practice for a title pageant. This is an OPTIONAL event and does NOT affect scores for the main pageant. You MUST enter the Main Event in order to enter this optional event. We will provide music. Winner will receive a sash and crown, as well as a gift. The following titles may be won for this event:

We love celebrating the talent of our community! Showcase any talent for a chance at one of the talent titles. This is an OPTIONAL event and does NOT affect scores for the main pageant. You MUST enter the Main Event in order to enter this optional event. You will be required to provide anything you need to perform your talent (music, props, etc.). The type of talent must be provided prior to the Pageant, and M.T. Pockets reserves the right to deny entries or require changes should it deem the talent to present an unsafe, offensive, or overly messy situation. The following titles may be won for this event:

Contestants may enter as many photographs as they wish at $5 per photograph. The judges will score the photos and will select the overall photogenic winner, who will receive an award. This is an OPTIONAL event and does NOT affect scores for the main pageant. You MUST enter the Main Event in order to enter this optional event. You MUST bring a hard copy of the photos to the pageant to be entered. You may also bring additional photos to the pageant with the corresponding fee if you decide to enter the photogenic optional after submitting this application.
4. Fan Favorite
Contestants may seek the title of Fan Favorite, which will be awarded with a large crown, sash, and gift. Fan Favorite is a fundraising title in which the contestants can collect funds to support the theatre. Each $1 counts as one vote. A contestant can raise funds and turn them in at the Pageant and friends and family can also vote for the contestant by making donations in their name. These funds should NOT be paid with the pageant entry fees but separately the day of the pageant, or via separately submitted donations prior to the pageant. If votes are submitted prior to the pageant, please inform Haley Hillen so that she can confirm and ensure they are counted.
OTHER INFORMATION
We would love a full audience to cheer for our fabulous contestants! There will be a $5 entry fee for spectators (contestants are free).
We strive to provide a space where everyone feels comfortable and respected. As such, bad sportsmanship or bullying will NOT be tolerated. If any such incident is reported it will immediately be investigated and, if proven true, the offending contestant will be immediately disqualified without refund and asked to leave the premises. Any spectators, parents/guardians, or other persons displaying bad sportsmanship or bullying will also be asked to leave the premises without refund.
Concessions will be available for purchase.
